Want to be buddies?

In Ohio 4 of the 7 Love's travel centers show to have B5 Diesel. You can go to the Love's website to call first to check by asking for the manager, I've noticed when I call the clerks do not know diesel from B5, or B20 diesel. The closest Loves looks to be near Toledo, but I might be wrong about that. The zip is 43551 if you ever travel in that area.

or in my 2 gallon gas can on a trip.

Just so you know I would not store, or transport gasoline in a container especially on a trip. Diesel in storage is not considered combustible, but is flammable, just not as much as gasoline. Overall I consider it safe to store for a week or so in my garage, or in my 2 gallon gas can.

I just save the diesel in my gas can until I have room to add it to the tank. On a trip it can add another 80 - 100 miles to your tank before you have to fill up. Sometimes it can get you to where GasBuddy says the diesel is cheaper than the place that you might normally fill up on a long trip.

It's cheapest near Ann Arbor, Westland, and Monroe I think. I think I squeese slowly until I have a total of 15 gallons packed in my tank. Read the directions and it might tell you that you can double the amount in the white bottle if you want to. You can use the recommended amount, and if you want you can add the recommended amount of the Silver/gray bottle that is mostly for summer to increase the cetane, and lubrication to increase mpg, and starting ease. I use 10 oz of the silver bottle in summer, but I haven't used the white bottle yet. Last winter I didn't use anything but the silver bottle, this year I use what the VW dealership sells the Stanadyne Performance Formula. I think I will switch to the Power Service white bottle when I run out of the Stanadyne though.

The only plastic "gas cans" I've seen were yellow for diesel, red for gasoline, and blue for kerosene. I have not found a yellow one smaller than 5 gallons so I use a red gasoline 2 gallon when I buy diesel especially if I get it at a cheaper price occasionally. I also buy gift cards at Kroger that are usually doubled for points for Kroger fuel at Kroger stations. A $50 gift card is worth a 10 cent per gallon discount at the pump per gallon. About 3 times a year they multiply that by 4 so a $50 gift card is worth 20 cent per gallon discount per gallon the next month at the pump. So when the points are multiplied by 4 if you buy $250 of gift cards the next month you have a $1.00 discount per gallon at the pump.

What city do you live? I live in Canton MI. Looks like Monroe MI has the cheapest diesel for me. I can even use my fuel points at the Kroger station.
