Yep, both university's are good. U of M in Ann Arbor is the better of the two. Mi. St. is East Lansing (state Capitol) I noticed you have Hawaii in your photo section. Have you heard of the mid-night sun ride from Haleakala?
I would love to try other ares of the country for riding. But for now i will have to stick close to home. I picked up the Roam from a Craigslist ad. It took a month to wedge it loose from the owner. The bike shop sold her on it, due it part because of her height. She claimed she stood 5'8" The frame size is listed as Large. At 6'1" I fit it nicely. I will try your strategy on my next commute to the Mall. With X-Mas in full force this may be yet another challenge. Our Costco is pumping Reg. @$3.04. The Guys want to do a night ride in the park this Wed. Hope the rains gets out before then. Going to be a slop-fest anyway.
Thanks for asking after me sjambok. I'm doing well, I just don't get out much. Saves me gas, right? LOL Hope you are well also
Whoa, whole different mind set up here.
Park it out side in the rack provided.
I tend to not go where it may be lifted. One fella went to a well known Movie theater. Parked out front, locked it down, watched the flick and NO bike. People saw a couple of dudes walk right up to it pull out their high tech cable cutter. And zip ... gone. Cops said turn it in to the insurance co. What a load.
Guess that's the hazards of owning a quality ride. Incidentally, I got the Roam-1 for a mere 450, it was a year old with 100 miles on it.
No, no gps for this guy. To many butt heads on the road. I go with the HI-vis route. Plenty of lights. I do use the back pack in the summer months for those extra items. However, the beam rack and trunk do afford me the luxury of not needing it. I have stuffed a :-) 1/2 gallon of ice scream two boxes of cookie mix and a dozen eggs in it. And no the eggs did not break. Plus the lock...
Sure would be nice to tap those that do alternative modes of transport. I have found that by taking the two wheel version for those short errands, not only time but parking is faster too.
Have you equipped your ride with saddle bags fore and aft? I went with the Topeak brand. The most versatile. Oh yea, my dailies are between 8 and 15 miles. The off road group tends to meet during the week for the "night" rides now. Usually 12-15....
How do, I picked up my Giant the week before memorial weekend a year and a half ago. As of today I'm 250 miles short of 5k . Looking forward to hitting that mark soon. I have met up with a group of off road riders. So, there was a touch of learning curve. After starting at the back of the pack earlier this summer. I'm proud to say that the lead dog spot feels good.
Well it looked like it used it again and it is deleated from the files.
Looks like I corrected it .
1. made this picture smaller and reloaded.
2. Delayed the Sideways picture.
See what I mean it has a picture of Santa sideways on the message but if you check my profile it is different. What's up??
